Shukla & MLA Sushanta attend closing ceremony of ‘Pilak Palac and Tourism Festival 2025’

Agartala, 22nd January 2025:   The three-day Pilak Palac and Tourism Festival 2025 concluded successfully yesterday evening without any untoward incidents at the West Pilak XII Grade School Ground.

The festival was organized under the initiative of local MLA and Minister Shuklacharan Noatia, featured a cultural program with artists from various states, providing a rich and entertaining experience for all attendees. The event was managed smoothly and efficiently, thanks to the tireless efforts of local prominent social worker and member of Jolaibari Panchayat Samiti Sujit Datta, Deputy Chief of West Pilak Panchayat Bidyut Datta, and prominent social worker Pulak Bhowmik.

On the closing day, the festival witnessed the presence of several invited dignitaries, including local MLA and Minister Shuklacharan Noatia, MLA Sushanta Deb, MLAs Pramod Reang and Mailafru Mog, Sabhadipati of Dakshin Tripura Zilla Parishad Dipak Datta, Chairman of Jolaibari Block Panchayat Samiti Tapas Datta and Sujit Datta among others. The event provided an opportunity to discuss the developmental steps taken by the state government for enhancing tourism in Pilak and other areas of the state.

Minister Shuklacharan Noatia highlighted the state’s initiatives in developing tourism infrastructure, stating, “The government is committed to making Pilak a leading tourism center. Various projects are underway to improve facilities and promote tourism.”

Recognition was given to the government stalls that secured the top three positions during the festival, with awards presented by the invited guests. Additionally, farmers selected under the Jolaibari Agriculture Department were honored for their contributions.

Volunteers played a crucial role in ensuring the smooth conduct of the festival. They were given a special reception, appreciating their dedication and hard work. Member of the Panchayat Samiti of Jolaibari Block, Sujit Dutta, made special arrangements to welcome and honor the journalists covering the event, with a stage reception appreciating their efforts.

The closing day of the festival saw a large turnout of visitors from various parts of the state, marking the event as a cultural and social success. The initiative taken by Sujit Dutta in welcoming the journalists was particularly appreciated by all, adding to the overall positive atmosphere of the festival.
