Agartala, 28th February 2024 : The Minister of Animal Husbandry, Sudhangshu Das, inaugurated a Smart Class at the College of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry, RK Nagar in Khayerpur on Wednesday. He was accompanied by the local MLA, Ratan Chakraborty, and the principal of the college.
The Smart Class is a digital learning platform that aims to provide students with access to quality education and resources in the field of animal husbandry. The minister said that the state government is promoting animal rearing as a means of livelihood and self-reliance for the people. He also said that the college is playing a vital role in providing the necessary services and training to the animal owners.
The minister also announced that a cowshed will be inaugurated soon at the college premises, as part of the government’s plan to establish one cow-shed in every district. He assured that the government will make special arrangements for the maintenance and welfare of the cows. He also visited the Smart Class and interacted with the students and staff of the college. He appreciated their efforts and achievements and encouraged them to continue their excellence in the field of veterinary science and animal husbandry.
