Agartala, 12th July 2025:   In a compassionate initiative led by Smile Foundation, a health and voluntary blood donation camp was organized on Saturday at the IMA House in Agartala. The event was formally inaugurated by Agartala Municipal Corporation Mayor Dipak Majumdar, who emphasized the profound value of blood donation in his address.

“There’s no gift nobler than the gift of blood. Donors may never know whose lives they touch, and recipients may never know their saviors—but this selfless act offers deep mental peace and ensures harmony between blood demand and supply,” Majumdar remarked.

Also present at the event were former police officer B.K. Roy and acclaimed local painter Swapan Nandi, among other distinguished attendees. The mayor highlighted Tripura’s impressive standing in national blood donation metrics and urged citizens to come forward in larger numbers in future camps.

The camp witnessed encouraging participation from blood donors, reaffirming the community’s commitment to voluntary healthcare efforts.
