Agartala, 30th October 2024: A shocking case is under investigation by Amtali police as a resident of Bagmara Colony near Tripura University named Jhuton Sarkar died early on Wednesday morning following a violent attack allegedly staged by his in-laws.
Jhuton Sarkar was married Mampi Sarkar seven years back, reportedly faced difficulties in his marriage following the birth of their son. Tensions escalated over the years, particularly after Mampi allegedly became involved in an extramarital affair and moved back to her father’s home three years back. Despite the separation, Jhuton continued to visit his in-laws’ residence to see his son maintaining a connection with his family.
Late on Sunday night, Jhuton and his friend Monir Debnath were reportedly summoned to his in-laws’ home. According to sources, Jhuton was brutally attacked there, allegedly at the behest of his wife Mampi Sarkar and mother-in-law Shefali Sarkar.
