Agartala, August 10, 2022: The local residents of Ward number 1 of the Srimantapur Gram Panchayat under Sonamura police station blocked the road demanding solution to the electricity problem on Wednesday.
Annoyed with the power problem, the residents of the ward blocked Sonamura-Kathalia main road which led to huge traffic jam on both sides of the during the peak hours.Srimantapur village panchayat Upa-Pradhan Sultan Mia, social worker Zainal Abdin and others rushed to the spot on hearing the news of the blockade. The blockade was lifted when they promised to solve their electricity problem within the next two days.
