South, Gomati, and Dhalai likely to get heavy rainfall: IMD

Agartala: May 11. Cyclone Mocha is going to affect three districts of the state including the South, Dhalai and Gomati districts of the state with heavy to very heavy rainfall.

Meteorological Department officials in Agartala said that on 13th May because of the cyclone, very heavy rainfall occurred in South, Dhalai and in Gomati district. While on 14th May heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely to occur in isolated places of the South, Dhalai, and Gomati districts. While on 15th May heavy rainfall is likely to occur in North and in Unakoti because of the cyclone.

The official further said that by tonight the cyclone will convert into a severe cyclonic storm and it will hit Myanmar and Bangladesh. It will create an indirect impact on Tripura. The state will witness gusty air with a speed of 70km/hour.
