Agartala, January 07, 2023: A discussion meeting was organized with representatives of various political parties in the presence of people from all administrative levels on “Mission Zero Poll Violence” and “Mission 929” on the upcoming 2023 assembly elections in Tripura.
In today’s meeting, District Magistrate of South Tripura district Saju Vaheed A said that everyone can participate in the 2023 assembly elections in a festive mood and for that the administration is continuing its efforts to prevent any untoward incident on election day. In this effort, the representatives of various parties came together and extended a helping hand to all.
In today’s discussion meeting, along with the District Magistrate, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Abedananda Baidya and Sub-Divisional Police Officer Panna Lal Sen presented various aspects of the election before everyone.
The District Magistrate presented several aspects related to the election before everyone, including an app called Citizen Vigilance and urged everyone to download this app on their mobile phones. Through this app, if any untoward incident occurs during the election, the incident can be recorded and sent directly to the officials by recording a video or taking a photo from their mobile phone. The prosecution will take immediate action based on this video. However, the identity of the video sender will be kept confidential.
On the other hand, complaints can be filed directly by calling 1950, said the District Magistrate. The DM made a special appeal to everyone to vote fearlessly in this year’s assembly elections.
