Speaker Biswa Bandhu Sen inaugurates North Point School’s annual prize ceremony at Dharmanagar

Agartala, January 19: The North Point School organized a grand prize-giving ceremony at Vivekananda Swardha Shatabarshiki Bhavan in Dharmanagar yesterday. It was a grand celebration for the students and the whole school faculty as the students were awarded for their exceptional performance in their academic year and the teachers were also motivated to see the growth of their students.

The event was inaugurated at around 5:30 PM onwards with the candle lighting and the water irrigation to plants by the Speaker of Tripura Legislative Assembly Biswa Bandhu Sen. The event was graced by the presence of the Chairperson of Dharmanagar Municipal Council Pradyot De Sarkar, the Panchayat Pradhan of Chandrapur Jhuma Sutradhar, Social Worker Shamal Nath, and from the school officials, the Chairperson of School Management Committee Dr. Rajat Kanti Bhattacharjee, Vice-chairperson Debobrata Chakraborty, Secretary Debmay Bhattacharjee, Treasurer Rahul Bandyopadhyay, and the headmaster of the school Sasanka Sekhar Das was present at the event.

In the first half of the celebration, there were various cultural programs arranged by the students such as folk dances like Hojagiri, Bihu, Manipuri dance, and more. At the beginning of the event, a group of students sang the Saraswati Bandhana and the Shri Ganesha Bandhana. This beautiful programme was anchored and managed by the dance teacher of the school Anindita Das and the singing teacher Subrata Chakraborty.

In the second half of the event, the school authorities conducted a grand prize-giving ceremony where the top three performers of the academic year 2022-23 from each class starting from the nursery to eleventh, were awarded as per their ranks.

During addressing the audience, the inaugurator, Biswa, stated that a total of twenty-eight government and private CBSE-affiliated secondary and higher secondary schools are there in the Dharmanagar subdivision, among them thirteen schools are there in the 56-Dharmanagar constituency and North Point School is one of them.

He emphasized that “He has demanded several times to build a Kendriya Vidyalaya at Dharmanagar and still demanding”.

The headmaster Sasanka, during his speech, highlighted the overall infrastructure of the school, the well-equipped labs, and the outstanding faculty. He expressed that the school’s curriculum is designed as per the CBSE guidelines.

At the last moment of the event, the Secretary of School Management Committee Debmay delivered the ending speech saying thanks to all the parents and the students for their collaboration and making the event successful.
