Special training for 20 differently-abled persons at Teliamura

Date:

Agartala, 21st July 2026;   Persons with disabilities are not a burden on society, nor objects of pity. Across communities, many inspiring examples show how differently-abled individuals overcome physical challenges and lead the way for others. In this journey, both the government and partner organizations continue to extend support and cooperation.

A similar initiative was witnessed in Teliamura, where the Voluntary Health Association of Tripura, in collaboration with the Tripura Gramin Bank’s RCT, organized a ten-day special training program for twenty differently-abled participants from various parts of the subdivision. On the concluding day, certificates were distributed in a brief yet meaningful ceremony.

The event was graced by prominent social worker and Teliamura councillor Achintya Bhattacharjee, Vice-Chairperson of Teliamura Panchayat Samiti Nirmal Rudra Pal, RCT Director Sukanta Biswas, along with officials of the Voluntary Health Association of Tripura.

Speakers expressed hope that the training would pave the way for participants to progress further in life. They also called upon society at large to extend collective support to persons with disabilities. RCT authorities conveyed gratitude to the Voluntary Health Association of Tripura for successfully implementing the program.
