Sri Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansadev’s 188th birth anniversary celebrated

Agartala, February 21, 2023: On the occasion of the 188th auspicious birth anniversary of Ramakrishna Paramahansadev, a two-day program was undertaken by the Ramakrishna Seva Samiti in Dharmanagar. On Tuesday, the birth anniversary of Sri Sri Ramakrishna Paramahansadeva is celebrated in Ramakrishna Seva Samiti according to the ‘Panjika’.

As part of this event, a procession was organized on Monday, February 20 at 6:30 PM. This procession starts from Ramakrishna Seva Samiti on Mission Road and circumambulates various roads of Dharmanagar city and ends at Ramakrishna Seva Samiti.

On the wee hours of Tuesday, Mangal Aarti began at 4:30 am, special puja and home of Sri Sri Thakur at 7 am, Chandi Path at 7:30 am, bhajan and kirtan at 9 am, attended by Rupali Purkayastha, Jayanthi Bhattacharya, Shivani Das, Aparna Sharma, Soma Banerjee. At 10 am Kathamrit in words and songs, directed by Champa Sharma, 11 am to 11:15 am Sri Sri Ramakrishna Leela read by Sudip Nath, 11:15 am to 11-30 am Kathamrit recited by Shashanka Shekhar Das, Anjali took place from 11.30 to 12.30 pm.

After that, distribution of ‘prasad’ continued till 2 pm. At 5:30 pm Sandhyarati, Cultural Program began at 6:30 pm conducted by Sangeetangan in Dharmanagar, Music and Dance Performance at 7.15 pm conducted by Kalamandal, Dharmanagar.

The organizers informed that in view of this ‘Janma Thithi’, Baul Sangeet will be held at Ramakrishna Seva Samiti on Sunday, i.e. February 26 next at 7 pm after ‘Sandhyaratrik’. Pintu Das Baul is performing.
