Agartala, November 06. BJP SC Morcha national president Lal Singh Arya arrived in Tripura on a two-day state visit on Saturday last and held series of meetings with office-bearers, district in-charges and presidents of Pradesh SC Morcha, followed by a ‘Chintan Baithok’ and public rally at Rajnagar assembly constituency on Sunday.
At the ‘Chintan Baithok’, 50 distinguished leaders were present and shared dais with Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, Rajya Sabha MP Biplab Kumar Deb, Deputy Chief Minister Jishnu Dev Varma, BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee, Tripura’s organizational secretary Phanindranath Sarma and others which lasted for four hours.
Later on Sunday afternoon while speaking to media persons at BJP state headquarters here, Arya said that ‘Basti Sampark Abhiyan’ had begun for covering 75,000 SC slums and 7,500 SC Students’ Hostels across the country following the announcement of BJP national president JP Nadda which started on September 17 last and end on November 26.
“Accordingly, today, I am announcing to initiate such campaign for a period a ten days and complete meeting with people in 2000 SC slums across the state. Thereafter, ‘Sampark Abhiyan’ will be held at every mandal and ten organization districts of the state”, he added.
Arya has visited Dr BR Ambedkar Students’ Hostel yesterday and held meetings with SC karyakartas of rural and urban areas. “I also held meetings with the office bearers, district in-charges and presidents of SC Morcha. Today, I have attended a ‘Jana Sabha’ at Rajnagar assembly constituency along with BJP state president Rajib Bhattacharjee where 127 leaders of CPIM and Congress party joined the BJP”.”
BJP SC Morcha national president also applauded the noble initiative of the Chief Minister Dr Saha led government for starting ‘Prati Ghore Sushasan’ campaign and the previous governments of Congress or Communist failed to thought of initiating such measures for the common masses. It is a historical work. He accused the Communist party for anti-poor and anti-unemployed youths, and sunk in corruption.
In the press conference, BJP SC Morcha state president Tapas Kumar Das and SC Welfare minister Bhagaban Das were present.
