State Ensures Normal Supply of Petrol, Diesel, LPG, and Essentials

Agartala, 1st April 2026:  In a press conference held today at the office of the Department of Food, Civil Supplies, and Consumer Affairs, Special Secretary of the Food Department, Debapriya Bardhan, stated that the supply of petrol, diesel, and essential commodities in the state is running smoothly.

Speaking at the conference, he added that there are currently around 70,000 LPG connections in the state, and the government is working to increase this number. The price of a 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder currently stands at ₹2,587.

The state government is implementing central government directives to ensure steady supply of LPG, petrol, diesel, and daily necessities. Special measures have also been taken by the Food Department to prevent black marketing of LPG, petrol, and diesel.

Other officials, including Department Officer Sumit Lodh, were also present at the press conference.
