Agartala, 1st April 2026: Pradesh BJP President Rajib Bhattacharya today criticized the ruling Tipra Motha Party, saying that over the past five years, the party has governed the TTAADC without fulfilling promises to improve tribal welfare.
Today during a BJP election meeting was held near Poangbari Market under the 27 Purba Muhuripur Bhuaratali ADC constituency, the BJP chief said this.
The meeting was organized in support of BJP’s nominated candidate, Abhijit Tripura.
State President of the Bharatiya Janata Party and MP, Rajib Bhattacharya, attended as the chief speaker. He criticized the ruling Tipra Motha Party at the ADC, saying that over the past five years, the party has governed the region without fulfilling promises to improve tribal welfare. He added that although the 2021 elected government had pledged to enhance education infrastructure for tribal communities, little progress was made.
Bhattacharya highlighted that under the double-engine government, 21 Eklavya schools are planned to be established in the state.
He urged tribal voters to support BJP in the upcoming Autonomous District Council elections, promising that BJP would govern while preserving tribal culture and traditions, fostering harmony between communities.
During the event, 140 people from 29 families, including supporters of Tipra Motha, CPM, and Congress, joined the Bharatiya Janata Party under the leadership of Rajib Bhattacharya.
