State forms committee to review and amend promotion policy

Agartala, 18th February 2024:  The Tripura government has decided to constitute a committee to discuss the existing Promotion Policy, 2021 for amendment and for consideration for extending regular promotion.

In an order, Md. H. Rahaman, Under Secretary of the state government, has directed to constitute a Committee under the Chairmanship of the Chief Secretary, Government of Tripura with the following officers to discuss the existing Promotion Policy, 2021 for amendment and for consideration of representation submitted by State Government employees for extending regular promotion subject to final outcome of the SLP (C) No. 19765-19767 of 2015 pending before the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India in the matter of reservation in promotion.

“The committee will be consisting the Accountant General (A&E), The Principal Secretary, Scheduled Castes Welfare Department, the Secretary, GA (P&T) Department, the Secretary, Finance Department, the Secretary, Tribal Welfare Department and  the Secretary, Law Department who will attend a meeting of the on February 20 at 05.30 PM in the Office Chamber of the Chief Secretary”, the order reads.
