Agartala, 18th February 2024:   Former Minister and Congress MLA Sudip Roy Barman claimed today that amidst the alleged grim situation in the state, the organizational strength of the Pradesh Congress Committee is in a good position.

He stated that in the upcoming Lok Sabha election, the people will provide a fitting response to oust the BJP from the country.Sudip made these remarks after chairing an organizational meeting in Belonia today.  The meeting focused on the upcoming Lok Sabha election, discussing strategies, the current condition of the party, and other relevant agenda items.

“We have concentrated on organizational matters. The country’s condition is dire, with rising unemployment, directionless farmers, a collapsed economy, and daily increases in the prices of essential commodities. We have discussed all of this and made Congress workers aware, who will then initiate an outreach program across the state. Nothing positive is happening in this country,” he informed reporters.

Roy Barman asserted that a section of the media, backed by the BJP, is trying to confuse the people to divert their attention. He also claimed that the ruling BJP has already destroyed the four pillars of democracy.

“We are witnessing a single-man rule. People are being deprived of their democratic rights. I believe that the people of the state and the country will respond in this election. We will field our candidates and contest the election. The INDI alliance will also participate. Despite a prevailing sense of fear in the state, our organizational strength remains robust. We can sense a fighting spirit among our workers. I believe that genuine BJP workers, who are being deprived of everything, will provide the right answers,” he added.
