State-level Cultural Advisory Committee holds meeting to plan future activities

Agartala, 7th February 2024 :  The state-level Cultural Advisory Committee convened a meeting on Wednesday at the conference hall of the Information and Cultural Affairs Department to discuss and plan the cultural activities of the department across the state.

The meeting was chaired by the Vice-Chairman of Cultural Advisory Committee, Subrata Chakraborty, and attended by the Director of ICA Department, Bimbisar Bhattacharya, and other officials and members of the committee.

The main agenda of the meeting was to review the performance and functioning of the district and sub-divisional level committees that have been formed to manage the cultural activities of the department at the grassroots level. The Vice Chairman briefed the reporters about the objectives and achievements of these committees and the challenges they faced in promoting and preserving the rich and diverse culture of the state.

He also said that the meeting was an opportunity to brainstorm and outline the future cultural activities that the department will undertake across the state. He said that the meeting will prepare a proposal based on the suggestions and feedback of the participants and submit it to the director of the department and the minister of the department for approval and implementation.

He expressed his hope that the meeting will help in enhancing the coordination and cooperation among the various stakeholders involved in the cultural sector and in creating a vibrant and dynamic cultural environment in the state. He thanked the director and the minister of the department for their constant support and guidance to the committee and its activities.
