Agartala, 14th June 2025: The statewide ‘Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Yojana’ is set to launch on June 15 at Pragya Bhavan in Agartala, marking a significant initiative aimed at the development of tribal-dominated regions across Tripura. This campaign will be conducted across multiple districts, including West Tripura, where preparations are already underway.
West Tripura District Magistrate Dr. Vishal Kumar announced the campaign during a press conference held at the district magistrate’s office on Saturday. He described the initiative as a transformative effort toward uplifting tribal communities, stating that the campaign will cover 35 villages in West Tripura alone.
Running from June 15 to June 30, 2025, the campaign titled Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Yojana aims to increase awareness and ensure accessibility to key government services for tribal populations. Local camps will be organized to facilitate the delivery of essential services, including Aadhaar registration, ration cards, caste certificates, domicile certificates (PRTC), Ayushman Bharat cards, vaccinations, financial inclusion through Jan Dhan accounts, Kisan Credit Cards, PM-KISAN benefits, insurance under PMJJBY/PMSBY, social welfare pensions, and Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) benefits.
The overarching goal of the initiative is to achieve 100% beneficiary coverage across various personal entitlement schemes, including Aadhaar, Ayushman Bharat, Jan Dhan Yojana, and PM-KISAN, ahead of the first anniversary of DAJGUA on October 2, 2025. Since its inception in 2024, DAJGUA has made remarkable progress in reaching 392 revenue villages across the state.
District authorities have urged all eligible beneficiaries to actively participate in the upcoming camps and avail themselves of the numerous government welfare programs being offered under DAJGUA.
