Agartala, 6th November 2025: The 46th edition of the Statewide Murasing Socio-Cultural Fair concluded peacefully in Santirbazar subdivision, echoing a strong message of communal harmony and cultural pride. Held on the occasion of Ras Purnima, the one-day event took place at the premises of the Shri Shri Harichand Goswami Temple in Pratichhari Murasing Para.
The fair was inaugurated by Shuklacharan Noatia, Minister for Minority Development and PTG Welfare, who lit the ceremonial lamp to mark the beginning of the festivities. Forest Minister Animesh Debbarma also graced the occasion, alongside MLA Pramod Reang, MDC Padmalochan Tripura (Mirza Kathalia Rajapur constituency), MDC Debajit Tripura, MDC Sanjib Reang, and other dignitaries.
The Murasing community head Sunil Murasing, fair committee secretary Bhagya Pada Murasing, and Murasing Sikla Badal Secretary Rajer Murasing, played key roles in organizing the event. Santirbazar SDM Sanjit Chakma and OC Jayanta Das of Manpathar Police Station ensured smooth coordination and security throughout the day.
The fair featured vibrant cultural performances by local artists that continued through the night, entertaining visitors, pilgrims, and vendors who had gathered from across the state. In their addresses, attending officials highlighted the cultural significance of the fair and shared insights into the state government’s development initiatives.
Government stalls were formally opened to the public with ribbon-cutting ceremonies, drawing large crowds as the evening progressed. As in previous years, the fair attracted tribal devotees from various corners of Tripura, reinforcing its role as a unifying celebration of heritage and identity.
With enthusiastic participation and seamless collaboration between local administration and community organizations, the 2025 Statewide Murasing Socio-Cultural Fair concluded on a high note, celebrating tradition, unity, and progress.
