Agartala, 25th July 2025:   A group of young job seekers aspiring for recruitment through the STGT (Selection Test for Graduate Teachers) today submitted a deputation to the Director of the Education Department, urging immediate publication of the exam results. The aspirants also made an emotional appeal to the Chief Minister, with folded hands and tearful eyes, demanding that the long-pending recruitment process be completed without further delay.

According to the protesters, the STGT exam was conducted in 2022, but the results have not yet been published. “It’s been nearly four years, but the recruitment process remains incomplete. We have repeatedly approached the Chief Minister, Education Minister, and other officials, but no action has been taken so far,” said one of the aspirants.

Frustrated by the prolonged delay, the candidates staged a protest in front of the Education Directorate building once again. They alleged that while the TRBT (Teachers’ Recruitment Board, Tripura) has already published the results of the TET (Teachers’ Eligibility Test), there has been no progress regarding STGT.

“Many of us are on the verge of crossing the upper age limit for government jobs. If the recruitment process is not completed soon, we will be permanently disqualified,” another aspirant said.

The protestors urged the Chief Minister to personally intervene in the matter and ensure the immediate publication of STGT results and completion of the recruitment process, warning that their patience is running out.
