Agartala, 16th June 2025:   Aspirants of the 2022 Special Teacher Graduate Test (STGT) staged a protest outside Shiksha Bhavan here today urging the government to release the pending examination results and expedite the recruitment process.

Holding placards and chanting slogans, the youths appealed to Chief Minister [Name] with folded hands, some visibly emotional as they pressed for urgent intervention in the long-delayed hiring process.

According to the protesters, the Teacher Recruitment Board, Tripura (TRBT) conducted the STGT examination in 2022, but the results have yet to be published. They expressed frustration over the prolonged wait, alleging that despite multiple appeals to the Chief Minister and other ministers over the past several months, no concrete steps have been taken to address their demands.

“It has been four years, and we are still waiting for recruitment to be completed. TRBT has already declared the results for the TET exam, yet there is no clarity on STGT,” a candidate stated, urging the authorities to act without further delay.

The protesters also highlighted concerns over age eligibility, stating that some STGT candidates will soon exceed the maximum age limit for recruitment. They urged the state government to release the results immediately and complete the hiring process to ensure deserving candidates are not unfairly disqualified due to bureaucratic delays.
