Stolen bike and e-rickshaw recovered, returned to owners by West Agartala Police

Agartala, 8th September 2025 :   West Agartala police successfully recovered a stolen motorcycle and an e-rickshaw, handing them over to their rightful owners in a move that drew praise from the local people.

Speaking to media personnel here today, OC Rana Chatterjee said that the motorcycle belonging to Suman Debnath was stolen from the Lake Chowmuhani market area a few days back. Debnath promptly filed a written complaint, prompting police to launch an investigation. The accused was soon arrested and the stolen bike was recovered. Following a court directive, the vehicle was formally returned to Debnath.

In a separate incident, an e-rickshaw owned by a youth named Prasenjit was also reported stolen. Acting swiftly, police initiated a parallel investigation and successfully traced and recovered the vehicle.

Both vehicles were handed over to their owners earlier today. Expressing relief and gratitude, Debnath and Prasenjit commended the police for their prompt and effective action.
