Stolen iPhone and bicycles recovered, one held at Dharmanagar

Agartala, 16th January 2026:    Police in Dharmanagar have arrested a youth identified as Pinak Uddin in connection with the theft of a smartphone and bicycles. The arrest led to the recovery of a stolen iPhone and two bicycles from the accused.

Police sources informed that the incident dates back to January 8, when an iPhone was stolen from a delivery boy’s bag left on his motorbike in the Noyapara Pragati Road area. Acting on the complaint, police launched an investigation and, during a late-night operation on January 15, apprehended Pinak Uddin along with the stolen iPhone.

Subsequent interrogation revealed further information, enabling police to recover two additional bicycles that had also been reported stolen.

Authorities confirmed that the recovered items will be returned to their rightful owners. A formal case has been registered against the accused under relevant sections of law, and he has been produced before the court.
