Agartala, 30th November 2025:  Reaffirming its commitment to advanced medical learning and clinical excellence, ILS Hospitals Agartala successfully organised a Continuing Medical Education (CME) programme on Gastroenterology, with special emphasis on gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding. The knowledge-driven session saw active participation from nearly 45 doctors across Tripura, marking a significant step in fostering evidence-based medical practice in the region.

The programme commenced with a welcome address by Manoj Kumar Debnath, Business Head, who highlighted ILS Hospitals’ vision of continuous skill enhancement and collaborative learning among healthcare professionals.

Delivering the first scientific session, Dr. Jayanta Mukharjee, Senior Consultant – Gastroenterology, spoke on “Approach to GI Bleeding”. His presentation covered clinical evaluation pathways, diagnostic decision-making, risk stratification models and timely endoscopic intervention — underlining their impact on improving patient outcomes and saving lives.

The second session, led by Dr. Saurav Paul, Consultant – Gastroenterology & Hepatology, featured a dynamic case-based discussion on upper GI bleeding. Real-time treatment challenges, critical care response, and the application of advanced endoscopic techniques were explored, providing attending doctors with valuable practical insights.

In the concluding remarks, Dr. Gautam Hazarika, COO, appreciated the strong participation from clinicians and reaffirmed ILS Hospitals’ commitment to enabling high-quality medical learning platforms. He emphasised that regular CME initiatives not only update clinical skills but significantly contribute to improving patient care standards across Tripura.

Hospital officials further stated that ILS Hospitals Agartala will continue to host medical education programmes and strengthen its role as a hub for clinical knowledge, research-based practice, and progressive patient care in the state.
