Agartala, 13th November 2025: Students of Baikhora English Medium Higher Secondary School submitted a written deputation to Baikhora police station today demanding action against unknown miscreants who allegedly defaced school property and attempted to disrupt the academic environment.
Reportedly, the school located a short distance from Baikhora Police Station in the Shantir Bazar subdivision was found vandalized with writings on its walls bearing the name of the student organization SFI. The incident came to light when students arrived at school in the morning and noticed the graffiti.
Concerned about the deteriorating atmosphere, the students approached Officer-in-Charge Vishnu Chandra Das with a formal complaint, urging the police to identify and punish those responsible. Parents and local leaders, including Keshab Chowdhury, Vice Chairman of the Jolaibari Block Panchayat Samiti, also joined the initiative and held discussions with the police to press for swift action.
Locals have expressed growing concern over repeated attempts to disturb the peace in Baikhora. Questions have been raised about the effectiveness of the police, especially in light of allegations that the OC frequently leaves the station at night to stay at his residence in Agartala. This, residents claim, has emboldened miscreants to carry out thefts and other criminal activities with impunity.
