Agartala, December 19, 2022: Students of Motinagar Higher Secondary School in Boxanagar staged a road blockade in the Sonamura-Boxanagar road on Monday protesting against the shortage of teachers.

It is reported that there are 300 students in Motinagar Higher Secondary School and nine teachers are imparting education. With this small number of teachers, education is not imparted properly.

Apart from this there are various infrastructural problems of the school like no school boundary wall, outsiders enter school premises and tease girls. The annual examination of the students is knocking the doors.

So angry students blocked Sonamura to Buxnagar road. The road blockade started at ten in the morning but hours went by and there was no one in the office. It seems that winter sleep has overtaken the daytime.

As a result of which common people, pedestrians and employees were stuck in the blockade. Now let’s see if administrative action solves the school’s problems.

Although, later the Sub-Divisional Magistrate came and assured the students that it would be considered after high-level discussions. Later the students lifted the blockade.

But the students have made it clear that if their demands are not met within the next week, they will once again lock the school gates and sit on road blockades.
