Students protest declining standards at Kamalpur Degree College

Date:

Agartala, 23rd April 2026: Allegations of severe deterioration in the academic environment at Kamalpur Degree College have sparked anger among students, who complain of irregular classes and worsening infrastructure.

Students across several departments report that despite classes being scheduled on the official routine, most are not conducted regularly. Many who travel long distances daily are forced to return home disappointed, while others say incomplete syllabi before examinations are causing them significant stress.

The situation is compounded by longstanding infrastructural problems. Students allege inadequate access to safe drinking water and unhygienic, insufficient toilet facilities, which have created discomfort for both male and female students.

A section of students has demanded immediate corrective measures, including ensuring regular classes, teacher attendance, and improvements in basic amenities. They warn that without urgent intervention, the learning environment will deteriorate further.

College authorities have yet to issue an official response. Meanwhile, students are calling for swift administrative action to restore normal academic conditions.
