Youth critically injured after fall from building at Dharmanagar

Agartala, 23rd April 2026:  27-year-old man, identified as Ajay Gaur, sustained severe injuries after allegedly attempting suicide by jumping from the roof of a three-storey building in the Maheshpur tea garden area under Dharmanagar subdivision.

According to reports, Ajay fell under mysterious circumstances and suffered critical head injuries along with serious fractures to his arm and shoulder. Family members rushed him to Bajendranagar Hospital immediately after the incident. As his condition deteriorated, he was transferred to North Tripura District Hospital at Dharmanagar, where he remains under intensive treatment. Doctors have described his condition as critical.

Family members stated they are uncertain about how Ajay ended up falling from the rooftop, leaving questions about whether it was an intentional act or an accident. The incident has sparked tension and curiosity in the locality, with residents expressing concern over the unclear circumstances surrounding the fall.

Authorities are yet to provide clarity on the matter, while the community awaits further updates on Ajay’s condition.
