Agartala, 22nd November 2025: An Animal Health Camp and Awareness Programme on fodder cultivation was organised on Saturday at Nazrul Kalakshetra by the Tripura unit of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) in collaboration with the Farmers’ Club. The initiative drew significant participation from farmers and livestock rearers across the region.
Tripura’s Minister for Animal Resources Development and Fisheries, Sudhangshu Das, attended the programme as the chief guest. He interacted with the participants and underscored the importance of livestock health management and scientific fodder cultivation in enhancing rural livelihoods.
Speaking at the event, Minister Das said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the government is working persistently to meet the increasing demand for milk in Tripura and improve the socio-economic status of livestock farmers. He noted that such initiatives play a vital role in boosting productivity, raising farmers’ income, and ensuring sustainable development in the agricultural and allied sectors.
The programme included technical sessions on animal healthcare and fodder management, providing farmers with practical guidance and support.
