Sudhangshu inaugurates market stalls marks push for self-reliant rural economy

Agartala, 25th June 2024 :  In a bid to bolster the rural economy and promote self-reliance through cooperative societies, the central and state governments are rolling out various schemes. SC Welfare Minister and MLA of Fatikroy assembly constituency Sudhangshu Das inaugurated ten newly constructed market stalls of the Samaj Kalyan Primary Agricultural Cooperative Society in Kanchanbari.

This initiative is a collaboration between the National Cooperative Development Corporation and the State Government.

During the inauguration ceremony, Das handed over the keys of the stalls to ten deserving unemployed youths. “This cooperative society will play an important role in making the unemployed youth of Kanchanbari financially independent,” Das stated.

The initiative is seen as a significant step towards empowering rural communities and fostering economic growth at the grassroots level. The government aims to create more such opportunities to strengthen the rural economy and provide sustainable livelihoods.
