Sukla inaugurates multi-purpose centre at Gunadhar Para to strengthen Bru community infrastructure

Agartala, 11th July 2026:   Cooperation and Minority Welfare Minister Sukla Charan Noatia on Saturday inaugurated a newly constructed Multi-Purpose Centre at Gunadhar Para under South Ekchari Village Committee in Karbook RD Block, describing it as a significant step toward strengthening grassroots infrastructure for the Bru community.

Speaking on the occasion, Noatia said the facility, constructed by the TRP & PTG Department (South Tripura Division), will serve as a dedicated space for social gatherings, educational activities, and various developmental programmes for the Bru community.

“Today marks a proud moment as we inaugurate this Multi-Purpose Centre for the people of Gunadhar Para. The centre will provide the Bru community with a common platform for community interaction, learning, and development. Under the visionary leadership of the Tripura Government, we remain committed to the holistic welfare and empowerment of our indigenous communities,” the Minister said.

He reiterated the government’s commitment to ensuring that development reaches every corner of the state and that the benefits of all welfare schemes are delivered to the last mile.

“We will continue to work tirelessly so that every eligible beneficiary receives the benefits of government initiatives. Strengthening infrastructure at the grassroots level is essential for inclusive growth,” Noatia added.

The inauguration programme was attended by MLAs Pramod Reang and Sanjoy Manik Tripura, senior officials including the Joint Director and Deputy Director of the TRP & PTG Department, the BAC Chairman, local administrative officers, and a large number of residents of Gunadhar Para. The gathering highlighted the government’s continued focus on improving community infrastructure and promoting inclusive development in tribal areas.
