Agartala, March 19, 2023: After assuming charge of the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs department, minister Sushanta Chowdhury on Sunday chaired an introductory-cum-review meeting with the bureaucrats and higher officials of the respective department at the Directorate office here.
Speaking to media persons on the sidelines of the meeting, Chowdhury said “For the first time, I am chairing a meeting today with the Special Secretary Raval Hamendra Kumar, Director, Additional Director, Deputy Director, Joint Directors and other officials of the Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs department after the formation of BJP-led government for the second consecutive term.”
“This meeting significantly focused on strengthening the public distribution system through this department in the coming days. The department is deliberately looking forward in providing good administrative work to each and every people in districts and subdivisions. The government’s aim is to provide good governance and the FCS&CA department plays an important role”, he added.
Minister said that he will take opinions of the administrative officials and accordingly, working procedures will be initiated for the betterment of the state. He said that he will also chair meeting with the ration shops dealers, gather knowledge on various issues and what needs to be done to better the PDS system.
“In the coming days, I seek cooperation from all for taking forward the services in the name of ‘Prati Ghore Sushasan’ started by the government before the election”, Chowdhury told reporters.
