Agartala, 3rd May 2026: Tourism Minister Sushanta Chowdhury today conducted an on-site inspection of the ongoing construction work of a proposed modern entertainment park at Sachindranagar in Jirania, which is being developed on the lines of ‘Tripura Heritage Village’, ‘Sangeet Experience’ and ‘Kolkata Nicco Park’.
The Minister was accompanied by senior officials of the Tourism Department, representatives of the local administration, including the Jirania Subdistrict Administration, elected public representatives, and local residents during the visit.
During the inspection, Chowdhury reviewed the current status and progress of the project and interacted with officials involved in the execution of the work. He emphasized the importance of timely completion and maintaining quality standards, noting that the project is expected to boost tourism and create new recreational opportunities in the region.
Officials informed the Minister about the ongoing development stages and upcoming components of the park, which aims to blend cultural, musical, and heritage-inspired experiences for visitors.
Local residents also expressed optimism about the project, stating that the entertainment park could emerge as a key attraction in Jirania and contribute to local economic growth once completed.
The Tourism Department is expected to continue close monitoring of the project as construction progresses.
