Sushanta urges Puja organizers to follow Government Guidelines; Warns Against forceful subscription collection

Agartala: October 03.  Tourism Minister Sushant Chowdhury today emphasized the imperative of organizing pujas in strict accordance with government directives.

Addressing representatives from sub-division clubs and puja committees, the Minister sternly warned against the unlawful collection of tolls by obstructing vehicles, as well as any form of extortion through subscriptions.

Chowdhury underscored the significance of conducting Sharadotsav in a manner that aligns with the established rules of the administration. He further urged the sub-divisional administration to maintain vigilance to ensure that idols are appropriately buried during Vijaya Dashami.

During the meeting, Sub-Divisional Ruler Shantiranjan Chakma and Sub-Divisional Police Officer held detailed discussions regarding the official guidelines of Sharadotsav. Also in attendance were esteemed dignitaries including Jiraniya Nagar Panchayat Chairperson Ratan Kumar Das, Ranirbazar Municipal Council Chairperson Aparna Shukladas, Vice Chairperson Prabit Kumar Das, along with prominent social figures Gaurang Bhowmik and Tarit Debbarma.

The assembly witnessed the participation of representatives from various clubs and puja committees, along with officials from the Departments of Works, Defense, Electricity, and Information and Culture. The collective effort exhibited a commitment to ensuring that the forthcoming pujas are organized seamlessly, adhering to government protocols and regulations.
