Agartala, 16th May 2024: In a late-night operation, Takarjala police apprehended a suspected drug dealer from the Bishramganj area. Acting on confidential tips, police officials raided the residence of Mithun Mia, seizing 290 packets of brown sugar and Rs 22,000 in cash.
The suspect known locally as drug smuggler Mithun Mia was taken into custody under the stringent NDPS Act. The following day, police produced Mia before the Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Court, marking a significant blow to local narcotics distribution networks.
