TCPCR holds sit-and-draw competition marks Children’s Day

Agartala, 14th November 2025:   To celebrate Children’s Day, the Tripura Commission for Protection of Child Rights today organized a vibrant sit-and-draw competition at the Melarmath grounds. Children of various age groups participated enthusiastically, showcasing their creativity and imagination.

The event was graced by Tapan Das, Director of the Department of Social Welfare and Social Education, and Jayanti Debbarma, Chairperson of the Tripura Commission for Protection of Child Rights. Both guests praised the initiative, highlighting its role in nurturing creativity among young minds.

According to the Commission, the competition was aimed at encouraging artistic expression and promoting healthy mental development among children. At the conclusion of the program, participants were awarded prizes and certificates. The day’s celebrations also included a cake-cutting ceremony with the children, adding joy to the occasion.
