Teliamura court likely to be operational within this year

Agartala, 3rd July 2025:   The long-awaited Sub-Division Court in Teliamura is expected to commence operations within the current year, marking a significant milestone for local judicial infrastructure and offering timely legal access to residents across the sub-division.

Yesterday, a high-level inspection of the under-construction court complex was conducted by Justice Biswajit Palit of the Tripura High Court. He was accompanied by Khowai District Judge Bhed Pratim Debbarma and Teliamura Sub-Divisional Magistrate Parimal Majumdar. The delegation also evaluated progress at the adjacent residential quarters being built for court staff.

Following the inspection, Justice Palik stated that a detailed report would be submitted to the Chief Justice of the Tripura High Court, who will take the final call on the court’s official inauguration. Sharing his personal view, Justice Palit expressed optimism that the facility could be functional very soon citing encouraging progress in the ongoing construction.
