Agartala, 11th April 2025: A devastating fire tore through the house of Hannan Mia, a resident of ward number two in Bhagwan Nagar Gram Panchayat under Chandipur assembly constituency last night. The incident has left the locality in shock as damages are estimated to be worth several lakhs of rupees.
According to eyewitness accounts, the blaze escalated quickly after two gas cylinders exploded within the house. While the family and neighbors promptly alerted the fire brigade, narrow roads leading to the area delayed the arrival of firefighting equipment.
In a heroic effort, locals physically carried a fire engine to the site and managed to extinguish the flames using water from a nearby pond. Unfortunately, by the time the fire was brought under control, the house had been completely reduced to ashes.
