Agartala, August 06, 2022: A group of TET qualified aspirants under the banner of All Tripura TET Passed Candidates’ Group 2021 staged protest in front of Shiksha Bhavan here on Saturday demanding recruitment of all qualified candidates together after filling up of respective job forms.
Speaking to reporters in front of Shiksha Bhavan here, one of the aspirants said “After appearing for TET-I and TET-II examination, we received star mark after staging several movements. Every people of Tripura are well aware about the students-teachers ratio in different schools across the state which is not upto the mark. There is an acute shortage of teachers. Despite of knowing all these, we have talked with Education minister, Chief Minister, Finance minister and other cabinet ministers. Education minister Ratanlal Nath also announced that all will be recruited before Durga Puja festival. But we have come to see that the Education department gave requisition to TRBT for sending list of 576 aspirants to be recruited in teachers’ job. Then where will the rest of the qualified candidates go?”
“Secondly, on May 23 last, we gave letter to the Director of Elementary Education seeking time for a meeting. Last Saturday, TET-qualified aspirants went to the office of the Director of Elementary Education. The good office informed us that the Director is busy. If this is the situation of Education department and what will happen to us. The concerned authority is playing a double-standard politics with the TET-qualified candidates,” he added.
“Today, we will meet with the Director and Controller of TRBT. If we are deprived of any positive reply or don’t get scope to meet with them, then we will sit here until we get any positive reply. A couple of days are left for the Durga Puja festival, Village Council election and then assembly election. When MCC is imposed with the announcement of elections, then where is the time for recruitment. Our demand is, after filling up of job form, verification has to be done for each and every aspirant and recruited all together. There should be nothing like phases”, he told reporters.
