Agartala, September 23, 2022: The government has taken a decision to appoint all the TET-qualified candidates soon, said Education minister Ratanlal Nath in the state assembly’s monsoon session on Friday.
The opposition CPIM MLA Sudhan Das raised a query about how many government jobs have been given so far and how many jobs will be given? Replying this, Education and Law Minister Nath said that till now 23 thousand 31 jobs have been given in various categories in the state. The Election Code of Conduct may come into force from January 10-15 next year. This is why the number of these jobs will increase to around 38,000 by December this year.
He also said that an important discussion has already been held between the Chief Minister, Finance Minister, Chief Secretary and Finance Secretary where it has been decided to appoint 3,108 TET qualifiers as teachers. Nath told the house that the TET-qualified aspirants will be appointed as teachers very soon.
Meanwhile, Education Minister was in a humorous mood as always. However, two former finance ministers, Badal Chowdhury and Bhanulal Saha, squeezed a bit.
