Agartala, 19th September 2023 :  In a startling turn of events, the GB Pant hospital finds itself ensnared in a wave of insecurity, leaving patients, their families, and even vital government equipment vulnerable to criminal activity.

The latest incident has cast a spotlight on law enforcement, with accusations swirling in the direction of the police force.

Sources said that a notorious gang of thieves has infiltrated the hospital premises, leaving nothing untouched in their wake. Government property, crucial to the functioning of the hospital, has not been spared from this spree of criminality.

The nefarious group is believed to have targeted the radiology department, where they brazenly absconded with several meters of copper wire from the AC machine. Swift action was taken by the hospital authorities, leading to the filing of an official complaint with the NCC police station.

Under the direction of SDPO Parmita Pandey, a team of police officers from the NCC station descended upon GB Hospital to initiate a thorough investigation into the matter. The Sub-Divisional Police Officer personally conducted an on-site examination, shedding light on the gravity of the situation. SDPO Parmita Pandey later stated that a formal complaint had been registered, outlining the theft of approximately 4 to 5 meters of copper wire from the radiology department.

The circumstances surrounding the theft are currently under intense scrutiny. The radiology department, typically bustling with activity, has left authorities puzzled as to how the thieves managed to abscond with the copper wire unnoticed. The incident has sent shockwaves through the hospital, leaving doctors, healthcare workers, and the public alike questioning the efficacy of security measures.
