Theft at Matinagar, shop owner seeks help from government

Agartala, December 26, 2022: A group of thieves executed a theft at a shop by breaking the lock and stealing Rs 20,000 cash along with goods at Matinagar area under Kamalasagar assembly constituency on the late night of Sunday last.

It is reported that Amir Hossain opened a grocery shop in the western part of Matinagar Class 12 School borrowing loan from Bandhan Bank. His family is surviving with the earnings from this shop. Coming from a poor financial background, Amir borrowed money from Bandhan Bank and opened the shop with a lot of hope.

A group of thieves poured water into his hope and on late night of Sunday last and broke the electricity connection of his shop and later broke its lock.

Meanwhile, the owner of the shop, Amir Hossain, said that he was supposed to buy some products from Agartala city from the money saved from the business for a long time on Monday.

And at that time, a group of thieves attacked and robbed him of everything. However, the cash box was later found empty next to Matinagar school premises.

The shop owner Amir Hussain believes that some local youths are involved in that work.

However, helpless Amir Hossain is demanding from the government to extend a hand of help to him. Now it is to be seen whether the administration will look after the helpless family.
