Agartala, 14th November 2025:   A shocking incident took place two nights back in Dharmanagar’s Rajbari Durgapur area when miscreants launched a violent attack on the residence of local resident Shifon Choudhury.

Acting swiftly to prevent any deterioration of law and order, police forces under the directive of North District Superintendent of Police Abhinash Rai moved into action. The operation was led by Dharmanagar Police Station OC Mina Debbarma and her team, who managed to apprehend three individuals allegedly involved in the attack.

The arrested have been identified as Helal Mia, Abdul Hakim and Alam Mia. Police sources revealed that the assault stemmed from an old dispute. While the prime accused remains at large, authorities confirmed that efforts are ongoing to bring him into custody.

The three detainees were produced before the Dharmanagar District and Sessions Court today, where police sought remand. Although the accused applied for bail, the court rejected their plea and ordered them to remain in judicial custody until November 26. They are scheduled to be presented before the court again on November 27.

Police have intensified their investigation and assured that strict measures are being taken to ensure peace and security in Dharmanagar and across the North District.
