Agartala, 29th October 2025:    Plainclothes police have arrested three Bangladeshi nationals from the West Chandrapur area of Dharmanagar subdivision for allegedly entering India illegally and obtaining forged Aadhaar cards.

Police sources informed that the accused identified as Md. Nur Alam, Raihan Mia, and Mohiuddin, all residents of Brahmanbaria district in Bangladesh illegally crossed the Tripura border into India around six months ago with the help of a broker identified as Islam.

The trio reportedly traveled to Bengaluru shortly after entering India, where they allegedly procured fake Aadhaar cards for ₹5,000 each.

After spending a few days in Bengaluru, they moved to various parts of Kolkata and North 24 Parganas in West Bengal, living there for nearly three months. They later returned to Tripura and took shelter in the residence of the broker in West Chandrapur.

Police have confirmed that broker Islam charged ₹12,000 per person for facilitating their illegal entry into India. However, he remains absconding, and efforts are underway to apprehend him. The arrested individuals have been taken to the Dharmanagar security office for interrogation.

Authorities have initiated a thorough investigation into the border infiltration network and are searching for other members involved in the trafficking racket.
