Agartala, 16th February 2025: A major road accident occurred at the Gokulnagar Rastar Matha area on Sunday afternoon, injuring three people, including a child, in a collision involving a bike, an auto, and a car. The accident resulted in severe traffic congestion on the Agartala-Udaipur road for a prolonged period.
According to reports, an auto-rickshaw bearing the registration number TR07A2579 was heading towards Agartala when a Hyundai car, numbered TR01AU0773, en route to Kamala Sagar, lost control. The car first hit a bike before colliding with the passenger auto-rickshaw, leaving three passengers, including a child, injured.
Following the accident, locals and passersby rushed to assist the victims, who were immediately taken to Bishalgarh Hospital. However, due to the severity of their injuries, the doctor on duty referred them to Agartala GBP Hospital for further treatment.
The incident caused significant disruption in traffic flow on the busy Agartala-Udaipur route. Upon receiving information, Bishalgarh police promptly reached the accident site to manage the situation and restore normalcy on the road. Further investigation into the cause of the accident is underway.
