Agartala, September 22, 2023: Tripura Industries Development Corporation Limited (TIDCL) chairman Nabadal Banik on Friday launched a special initiative ‘Yuba Tripura, Natun Tripura, Atmanirbhar Tripura’ to promote youth entrepreneurship in the state. The initiative aims to provide exposure visits, training and financial support to 100 interested youths from each district who want to start their own industries.

The first category involves showcasing the small, medium and large-scale industries at Bodhjungnagar and RK Nagar to the enrolled youths, followed by a two-hour workshop where the schemes, policies and incentives of the Industries and Commerce department will be displayed. The workshop will also feature presentations by NABARD, lead banks and successful entrepreneurs who will share their journey and challenges. The youths will also visit the small-scale industries at Badharghat and AD Nagar.
The second category involves holding talks at district and block level where the youths will learn how to prepare a detailed project report and get a format for it.
The third category involves extending support in acquiring land or sheds at industrial estates across the state. The corporation will also help the youths to get loan upto Rs 10 lakh without guarantee from its fund.
Banik said that the initiative will be implemented in phases and the first phase will cover all eight districts of the state. He said that the 100 youths from West Tripura district will get the opportunity on October 12, followed by Gomati district on September 29, North Tripura, Unakoti and Khowai districts on October 8, 17 and 30 respectively, Dhalai, Sepahijala and South Tripura districts on December 13, 22 and 30 respectively.
