Agartala, 18th April 2026: In an escalation of internal discord within the Tipra Motha Party, senior MLA Ranjit Debbarma launched a scathing attack on fellow party MLA and Minister Animesh Debbarma. Speaking publicly, Ranjit accused Animesh of betraying the party and its leadership, warning of consequences if loyalty to the Tiprasa people and Bubagra was compromised.
“What will happen to you now if you do gaddar with Tiprasa or Bubagra? What is your dream Deputy CM? What happened to the BJP according to your words and ideas? Why don’t you sue me for defamation? Tiprasa people will judge you gaddar! Your gaddar is a Tiprasa people. Tiprasa people. Thank you,” Ranjit declared, in remarks that have stirred intense debate within the party ranks.
The comments highlight growing tensions in the party’s leadership and raise questions about unity ahead of crucial political developments in Tripura. Observers note that such public confrontations could impact the party’s image and its relationship with the Tiprasa community, which remains central to its political base.
