TMC holds rally in capital city, bets on Bengal model of governance

Agartala Dec 28: Under the initiative of Trinamool Congress, a rally was organized in the capital city Agartala here on Wednesday from the Banamalipur assembly constituency.

Tripura Pradesh Trinamool Congress President Pijush Kanti Biswas, All India Trinamool Congress Rajya Sabha MP Sushmita Dev, Pradesh Youth Trinamool Congress President Santanu Saha, Pradesh Mahila Trinamool Congress President Panna Dev and other leaders led the rally from the front.

Addressing from the rally, TMC state president Pijush Kanti Biswas said, “Sudip Babu went to BJP to remove CPI-M in 2018. Today CPI-M and Congress have come together again. Trinamool Congress has been fighting against BJP since long. People here in the state trust Trinamool Congress”.

He added, “Travelling across the state for organizational works of the party it is clearly visible that the people are supporting TMC and are hoping that the BJP will be ousted from power”.

Meanwhile, TMC Rajya Sabha MP Sushmita Dev said, “A protest rally has been organized at the initiative of Banamalipur block as elections are coming and the time for change is here. State Trinamool Congress president Pijush Kanti Biswas has initiated the protest against the misrule that the Bharatiya Janata Party has carried out in the state of Tripura for over four and a half years”.

“We want to say to the people of Banamalipur that since Trinamool Congress is becoming the main opposition government to the present government, it is Trinamool Congress that can bring change in Banamalipur and Tripura state in the coming days”, she added.

After the rally, Niranjan Reang, a resident of Shantirbazar, and one among the 10,323 teachers, picked up the All India Trinamool Congress flag in the presence of Tripura Pradesh Trinamool Congress President Pijush Kanti Biswas,

Also many others from Simna left BJP and CPI-M and joined Trinamool Congress.
