Agartala, 18th May 2025: The alarming rise in road accidents in Tripura’s Sepahijala district continues unabated, with yet another incident reported from the Bishalgarh subdivision on Sunday morning. A student on his way to appear for the TPSC examination was injured in a collision between a bike and a car near the main gate of the Sepahijala Wildlife Sanctuary.

The victim has been identified as Pulkesh Tripura, a resident of Melaghar. Following the accident, locals promptly rescued him and rushed him to the Bishalgarh Sub-Divisional Hospital for treatment.Upon learning of the incident, BJP Yuva Morcha workers, acting on the directive of local MLA Sushanta Deb, stepped in to ensure the injured candidate was transported to his designated examination center at Shishu Bihar School in Agartala. Meanwhile, the car involved in the collision fled the scene, and its driver remains untraced.

Bishalgarh police personnel swiftly arrived at the hospital after receiving the report and have launched an investigation into the hit-and-run case.
