Traffic Restrictions in Agartala Ahead of Union Home Minister’s Visit

Agartala, 20th  February 2026 :   The Tripura Police has issued a traffic advisory in view of the visit of the Hon’ble Union Home Minister of India today. To ensure smooth movement and security arrangements, restrictions will be imposed on all types of vehicles along the stretch from MBB Airport to Amtali bypass crossing.

The restrictions apply to buses, trippers, brick carriers, cement carriers, rod carriers, bamboo carriers, and other heavy vehicles. Only emergency vehicles will be exempted.

To minimize inconvenience, commuters have been advised to use the following diversions:

* Route 1: Narayanpur – Narsingarh – Ramnagar – Gandhigram Bazar – Salbagan – Rubber Board – Chanmari

* Route 2: GB – Indranagar – Dhaleswar – Math Chowmuhani – Jogendranagar – Bypass

* Route 3: A.D. Nagar – Battala – Fire Service – Ker Chowmuhani – Sankar Chowmuhani – Barjala – Maila Khola via Bharat Ratna Club to MBB Airport

* Route 4: GB – ILS – SDO Chowmuhani – Nandannagar – Banikya Chowmuhani – Kheyarpur – Amtali – Kheyarpur Bypass – Amtali

Passengers traveling to MBB Airport have been urged to plan their journey carefully, use the suggested alternative routes, and reach the airport at least three hours prior to their flight to avoid congestion. Travelers must also carry valid air tickets or boarding passes for verification.
