Agartala, 28th October 2025: A heartbreaking incident took place in the Lakshmi Tilla locality under Srinagar police station as a four-month-old infant Srijan Shil was found dead in his sleep early this morning.
Family sources informed that Srijan’s parents Sourav Shil and Priyanka Shil had returned home late last night after attending a social event. They reportedly played with their child until around 1:30 am before going to bed. At dawn, the family noticed the baby was unresponsive and rushed him to IGM Hospital in Agartala, where doctors declared him dead upon arrival.
The couple had been married for approximately one and a half years. Relatives stated that Srijan had shown no signs of illness prior to the incident and his sudden death has cast a pall of sorrow over the entire neighborhood.
Local residents expressed deep shock and sympathy, with many gathering at the family’s home to offer condolences.
